Bagel, did you say bagel??

Yesterday, I went to Empire Bakery in Whangarei. The owner was very sorry as they were mostly sold out of everything for the day but he led me into a nice chat. He showed me the freshly baked succulent-looking croissants (reserved for an order) that got my French roots singing La Marseillaise. But it didn't stop there. He had 2 bagels left that he gave me to try out. I filled them with my favourites. Mmm delicious! But a picture is worth a thousand words so see for yourself...

The lesson is: if you go out of your way for your customers, they might go out of their way to return the favour.
